3.3 billion dollars for Texas broadband

Texas gets the most money from federal funds to expand broadband. 3.3 billion dollars has been earmarked to provide broadband to areas without it. 2.8 million of households in the state don’t have access to internet. The money is from the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment Program. It’s in addition to the 1.5 billion dollars Texas lawmakers voted on this session to increase broadband availability as reported in the Texas Tribune.
