Bandera County declares burn ban

Bandera County Commissioners declared a burn ban effective immediately according to the Bandera Prophet. The trigger number for a fire hazard is 575 on the Keetch Byram Drought Index or KBDI. Bandera County is at 618. Fire Marshall Jason Rutherford said he implemented a no burn notice when the KBDI went over 575.
