Last night, Bandera held a public community meeting regarding the upcoming eclipses with county and city officials. The first one is in 2 months on Saturday, October 14th. What occurs during the first eclipse event is a test of what needs to be changed and addressed for the April 2024 eclipse. Topics discussed were preparedness as the population could triple, working with TxDot on traffic control, and communications. City and county departments have been having monthly preparation meetings.
