The City of Blanco is upgrading their water infrastructure. They are replacing the town’s water meters. The city believes they lose up to 28 percent of their water because of the outdated meters. In the next few weeks, staff members will be pulling out and replacing the old meters with digital meters. The digital meters will save manpower. They are read only and cannot be shut off remotely.
