TCEQ’s meeting for a wastewater treatment plant in Comal County lasted over 3 hours on Thursday. Opposition is over a landowner’s permit request to serve a possible 14 hundred home development near Bulverde. TCEQ told the attendees that the proposed plant is a long way from becoming a reality. Representatives of the landowner said the water would be reused and possibly not released into waterways. And, also the proposed plant operation would exceed state standards. If approved the plant could possibly send 600 thousand gallons of water daily into a Comal County creek that flows into the Comal River.
