Gillespie County Airport approved for 4 million dollars in upgrades. The County Commissioners voted for the improvements. Airport Manager Tony Lombardi said the improvement plans have been in the works for 6 years. 10 percent of the funding comes from the county. 90 percent is federal funding. TXDot is the agent for the project.
