Gillespie County Women Veterans

The 75th anniversary of Gillespie County Women Veterans is Monday. In celebration, a dinner will be held starting at 5pm at Western Edge Cellars on Main Street in Fredericksburg. In 1948, President Harry S Truman signed into law The Women’s Armed Services Integration Act which allowed women to serve as regular and permanent members of the armed forces.
