Guide Dogs of Texas is needing volunteer puppy raisers. The organization places the animals with Texans who are blind or have low vision. Volunteers help raise and socialize puppies starting at 8 weeks of age. The puppies stay until 2 years of age in their home. It’s a 24-7 commitment. Ongoing training is provided.
