Saturday is National Public Lands Day. The Hendrick Arnold Nature Park will open on this day. The park is named for a scout and spy of the Texas Revolution. It’s located in Southwestern Bexar County along the Medina River. He’s buried nearby. Although, Hendrick never lived in Bandera, he has a cemetery named after him there.
