The Kerr County Commissioners Court is holding another budget workshop this morning at 9am. They held a few last week. According to Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly, they are facing a possible 17 million dollar deficit. There’s a litany of wants and needs on the table. Contributing to the deficit are the rise in road Materials and fuel costs. The Sheriff’s Department wants another officer, pay raises are on the table, county personnel are needed, there’s capital outlays plus more. The court wants to have a budget by the end of July to be available for public review in August.
