Kerr County citizen fined for Unlawful restraint of a dog

Kerrville Pets Alive reports that a Kerr County resident has been cited and fined for Unlawful Restraint of a Dog. It’s a violation of Texas State Health and Safety Codes. There’s several criteria that defines unlawful restraint such as using a chain or weights, and simple things like not providing shelter from the elements, or water. You can be subjected to a 500 dollar fine. The cited resident was only fined half of that by the Judge. Contact Kerr Animal Services if you suspect unlawful restraint.
