Lennar - Guajolete Ranch subdivision

Hearings started yesterday morning with the state of Texas to decide Lennar Homes can build a wastewater treatment plant that could affect the Edwards Aquifer according to KENS 5 TV. Lennar plans to build a 3 thousand home development over the Edwards Aquifer. The development would need a wastewater facility that could potentially dump a million gallons of water into the Helotes Creek which empties into the Edwards. The case puts Lennar homes against the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District, the Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance, and Lynette Munson, a homeowner with acreage near the proposed construction area. A state appointed judge is over the case. The TCEQ commissioners though will have the final say on the sewage plant being built. The hearing is online and will last through Thursday.
