A Governor Abbot appointee has resigned his position as the Public Utility Commission Chief. Peter Lake was appointed after former chief DeAnn Walker was forced to resign because of the 2021 power grid failure. Lake led a plan that was more tech neutral than the legislators wanted. They are in favor of more fossil fuel burning power plants. Lake remains as PUC chief until July first. Reports the Texas Tribune.
