Texas Whitetail Hunting season starts Nov 3

Texas Whitetail Hunting season starts Saturday. Hunters have an opportunity to fill freezers with their kills this season. Texas Wildlife biologists say the whitetail deer hunting season is forecasted to be good. Spring rains provided good foliage for the deer to nosh on. The Edwards Plateau/Hill Country deer population is the highest in the state. Test your deer for Chronic Wasting Disease if bag some. And if you’re going to hunt on public lands, you must have an Annual Public Hunting Permit. For more information, the Texas Parks and Wildlife website has all the details.
