Social media is being used to recruit people to smuggle migrants into the US. Newsnation reports it’s an estimated 13 billion dollar industry for the cartels. Slick video productions are posted on Tik Tok. I asked Sheriff Larry Leitha about the trend. Audio:19…jump on it.
The Videos make it seem the journey is safe and that the migrants go on their merry way when they could possibly be detained in stash houses or used for other illegal activity.
