Kerr County’s Texas Parks and Wildlife research facility did not have a case of Chronic Wasting Disease. A buck suspected to have the disease was not confirmed to have CWD after initially testing positive. The National Veterinary Service Laboratory notified TPWD that they did not confirm a positive test. The alarm and suspicion ended 50 years of research and all the deer in the facility were euthanized.
