Texas Historical Commission wants to expand Fort Martin Scott in Fredericksburg. The THC presented a plan to the Fredericksburg City Council which would utilize the former Texas Ranger Heritage Center and turn it into an interactive experience center called Texas Untamed. The Heritage Center and Fredericksburg are currently in a breach of contract lawsuit.

Boerne ISD voter-approved tax rate election, or VATRE, barely passed receiving  51.26%  of the votes.   The school district — which is mostly in Kendall County with voters also in Bexar and Comal counties. The district's tax rate was increased by 2 cents from 99 cents to $1.01 per $100 of property value. Bandera residents voted for 3 at large seats on the City Council. 2 incumbents lost their seats - Tony Battle and Brett Hicks.  DeAnna McCabe and Tammy Ott Morrow will take those seats. Incumbent Debbie Breen kept her seat.  Also, the winner of the only open seat for Bandera ISD Trustee Place 7 was led by Debbie Killian Martinez with 41 percent of the vote. with Rich McCarthy at a close second with 38 Percent. An F-550 Brush Truck gifted to the Hunt VFD was donated in memory of Camp Mystic camper Cile Steward. According to the West Kerr Current, one of the truck doors will have an imprint with a green ribbon and the other door will say “In Loving Memory of Cile Steward and Lost Lives July 4, 2025.”

Kerrville City Council approves the Whiskey Springs TIRZ 3 according to the Daily Times. The new development is at the corner of Texas 16 and IH-10.

Kerr County is inviting the public to the dedication of 550 Earl Garrett Street, to be known as the Burton Annex, on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11 th . The building housing the Veterans Service Office will be dedicated to Allie Bowman Burton Jr., a decorated military hero serving in multiple wars. Colonel Burton is still living at 101 years of age.

New details on the Buc-ees deal in Boerne. Last week, Boerne City Council approved a revised deal with the travel center according to the San Antonio Business Journal. Besides a smaller footprint with a 54 thousand square foot facility and only 100 fuel stations, Buc-ees will get a 20 year   50% sales tax rebate known as a Chapter 380 agreement .
