Create Healthy, the non-profit from Fredericksburg, awards nearly 600 thousand dollars to support local wellness programs. Create Healthy’s ongoing mission is to support mental health, early childhood development, and healthy living. 4 area community projects receiving grants were Gillespie - Holy Ghost Lutheran Church for Kindernest Playground Improvements, and Fredericksburg ISD Education Foundation – School Social Worker Support. Mason - Frontera Healthcare Network for the Clinic Renovation Project, Kendall - Comfort Golden Age Center Foundation – Building Renovation Project.
