New DNA evidence may re-open the Brittany McMahon case in Bandera according to the Bandera Bulletin. She went missing in June of 2022. Her body was discovered in the woods outside of Bandera in July. Her case was closed in 2022 as a suicide although the medical examiner couldn’t determine how she died. Her parents, Randy and Susan McMahon, believe the suicide ruling is false. Brittany’s case may be re-opened as the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office reviews new DNA evidence tied to her remains Additional evidence has been submitted for testing in hopes of determining whether anything contradicts the original ruling according to Chief Deputy Adam Marsh.
