Bandera - Equestrian ordinance

A City of Bandera Parks and Recreation equestrian ordinance will start being enforced on park trails according to the Bandera Prophet. City Administrator Stan Farmer said the rule has not been actively enforced. Adopted in 2017, signs are to be placed on the trails designated for horseback riders. Horses have the right of way on the equestrian trails yet riders need to be respectful of hikers. Farmer said there were reports of hikers and riders being too close to each other.
