Bastrop - Driver charged with manslaughter in bus crash

Manslaughter charges in last year’s Bastrop deadly bus crash according to Spectrum News.  Jerry Hernandez, 44, was charged with charged with two counts of manslaughter and two counts of criminally negligent homicide. He was driving a concrete pump truck that crossed the double yellow line on Highway 21, hitting a Hays County Consolidated Independent School District bus last March.  Five-year-old Ulises Rodriguez Montoya and University of Texas doctoral student Ryan Wallace were killed as a result of the collision. Investigators said that in addition to being sleep deprived, Hernandez had used narcotics prior to the crash. (photo AP)
