BCRAGD - e coli sample numbers

The Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District has posted the e coli bacteria levels for several rivers at bcragd.org. Surface Water Staff took samples from sites along the Medina River, Medina Lake, the Sabinal River and their tributaries last week. If the readings are higher than 399 most probable number or MPN per 100 milliliters of water, no one should enter the water for swimming. The MPN is set by TCEQ. The numbers at Bandera City Park are quadruple the 399 MPN. The park has been closed to water activity since last August.
