A hearing for consideration of two high-volume well permit applications in Bandera County is tomorrow at 10am. Vanderpool Management, LP of Midland, is asking for the well permits. The hearing is at The Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District Board office. 440 FM 3240 in Bandera. According to the Bandera Canyonlands Alliance, these permit applications could allow pumping of more than 62-million gallons of water a year. The wells are located just south of RR 337 near Vanderpool. The Alliance encourages landowners to attend and voice their concerns on the impact the proposed high-volume pumping would have on area aquifer levels if these permits are approved.
