This morning at 9am in Austin is a contested case hearing between Vanderpool Management Lp and The Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District or BCRAGD. BCRAGD reduced the amount of water that could be pumped from 2 wells near Vanderpool. Last year, Vanderpool Management LP applied for 2 well permits to pump 200 acre feet per year. The BCRAGD only permitted 56 acre feet per year. The water is for Residential, Livestock and Irrigation purposes. This would be the equivalent of more than 62-Million Gallons of water each year. Which, essentially is the same amount of water used annually by the entire city of Bandera.
