Boerne ISD inducted their Class of 2024 Athletic Hall of Honor on Friday according to the Boerne Star. Dr. Ralph J Curtis aka Bud received the Bill Canavan Memorial Benefactor Award as a contributor of service to the school district. For 23 years, Dr. Curtis has been the team physician. Other inductees include Erick Halgunseth, class of 1995, for basketball. He played professionally for Mexico for 12 years. Kristin Schramek Bates, class of 2003 for Volleyball. She’s currently the Assistant Director of Athletic Advising at the University of Incarnate Word. And the 2008 and 2009 cross country teams were inducted for their back to back state championships.
