Boerne - Rabid raccoon

Racoon found in Boerne tests positive for rabies according to myboernenews.com. The racoon was reportedly behaving strangely on Saturday, June 7th at Boerne City Lake. The rabies test returned positive this past Thursday. Animal Care Services Supervisor Stefanie Fisher says that there have been no reports of any direct human interaction with the animal. Report any suspicious animal behavior immediately and make sure your pet’s rabies vaccinations are up to date.
