Burnet City and County forming 391

Burnet County and the City of Burnet are joining together to form a 391 commission against the 765KV transmission lines expected to go through their area.  According to the Daily Tribune, property owners would be impacted with eminent domain, reduced property values, 200 to 330 foot eastments and 15 to 18 story towers with the highest voltage powerlines ever to be built in Texas. The commission’s name is the Burnet County Highland Lakes Sub-Regional Planning Commission. Builders Oncor Electric Delivery and LCRA are expected to file with PUCT in March.
