Camp Mystic - non-profit seeks to purchase

Nonprofit seeks to purchase Camp Mystic’s property through bankruptcy court. According to expressnews.com, Firefly Fields Foundation is seeking to create a new Christian camp for girls at Camp Mystic Cypress Lake, which did not flood during last July 4^th. A Chapter 11 reorganization plan was filed in Houston earlier this month that is asking to auction off the land of 750 acres and all of its other assets to an independent buyer.  If Firefly Fields wins the bid, the future camp will have a new name and new leadership, yet keeping the camp’s traditions and legacy.
