Camp Mystic - Steward lawsuit

Family of Cecilia Cile Steward file a lawsuit against Camp Mystic in Hunt. Cile, 8 years old is the only child not found from the devastating flood of July 4^th. Her parents, Catherine and Will Steward are suing the owners of the camp, the Eastlands. They say that the camp should never open again. The lawsuit alleges that the camp’s emergency instructions at the time were not up to Texas administrative code plus the camp did not include an evacuation plan and required campers to stay in their cabins during the flooding. The owners of Camp Mystic expect to re-open Camp Mystic Cypress Lake for the summer season. The deaths of 27 camp attendees which Cile was one of happened at Camp Mystic Guadalupe.
