City Of Kerrville Offices closure on Monday

City Offices Closed Monday, Jan. 26, Due to Extreme Ice and Cold

Did someone mention Kerrville? Think they meant Brrrrville!

City crews continue 24/7 operations re-treating streets and bridges with de-icing agents and gravel to reduce roadway hazards. Winter Storm Fern is expected to bring continued icy conditions over the next several days.

Due to current forecasts, the City of Kerrville is sharing the following closures, service impacts, and community updates for Monday, Jan. 26, with some impacts extending into Tuesday, Jan. 27.

 City Office Closures

All non-essential, non-public safety City offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, including:

• City Hall

• Development Services

• Municipal Court

• City Landfill

• Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library

Public safety operations will continue as normal.

 School Closures

The following school districts are closed Monday, Jan. 26:

• Kerrville ISD (KISD)

• Ingram ISD

• Kerr County Schools

• Center Point ISD

• Hunt ISD

 Ingram ISD will have a delayed start Tuesday, Jan. 27.

 City Parks & Facilities

• City parks remain open, including Kerrville-Schreiner Park (KSP)

• Bathroom facilities are unavailable at City parks

• A winterized restroom facility is available for KSP camping patrons

 Landfill / Transfer Station

The City’s Landfill / Transfer Station, operated by Republic Services, will remain closed Monday, Jan. 26 due to current conditions.

 Trash & Recycling Services

Republic Services provides residential trash and recycling collection:

• All collections will occur one day later than the regular schedule

• Place bins out one day later than your normal pickup day

• This adjusted schedule will continue through Saturday, Jan. 31

 Utility Billing Due Date Extensions

• Bills due Monday, Jan. 26 → extended to Wednesday, Jan. 28

• Bills due Tuesday, Jan. 27 → extended to Thursday, Jan. 29

No late fees or penalties will be assessed.

 Warming Station – Calvary Temple Church

The public Warming Station will remain open through Tuesday, Jan. 27, providing a warm and safe location for residents in need.

• Crated, non-aggressive pets are welcome

• A Pet Warming Station with supplies and extra crates is available

 Avoid Unnecessary Travel

Residents are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel, monitor weather conditions, and follow official City channels for updates:
