Dischinger - Brehmer Ranch Conservancy

1200 acres in Comal County are being preserved for the Edwards Aquifer Conservancy reports expressnews.com. Owners of the Dischinger-Brehmer Ranch, Les Dischinger and Barbara Moore, have guaranteed that the land will remain as it is under a new conservation easement. The easement prevents the land from being developed. The agreement also protects acres on the Edwards Aquifer’s recharge zone, where water enters the underground system that provides water for more than 2 million people. The Edwards Aquifer Conservancy is a nonprofit that supports the Edwards Aquifer Authority.  The agency manages and protects the aquifer in an eight-county area.
