Almost 459 thousand dollars of HOT funds were given out by the Fredericksburg City Council recently. Recipients include the Admiral Nimitz Foundation, the Gillespie County Historical Society and Der Stadt Friedhof Cemetery. 25 organizations received funding. HOT funds are from the collection of hotel occupancy taxes and are allotted to promote tourism and the hotel/convention industry.
