Fredericksburg City Council votes against a development project at their meeting last week according to the Standard Radio Post. The owners of a property on Hollmig Lane requested annexation and a change in zoning from rural to mixed development. The council voted 4 to 1 against it. Other requests discussed were a denial for a conditional use permit from Frost Bank who want to build a drive through bank on East Main Street. The city also voted unanimously not to create a TIRZ, a tax increment reinvestment zone and will revisit the subject in the future.
