FBG - Hill Country SPCA changes name

Hill Country SPCA of Fredericksburg will operate under a new name starting January 1, 2026. The organization will operate as Hill Country Animal Rescue. Hill Country SPCA has encountered ongoing confusion from the public, with many assuming they are affiliated with or funded by the ASPCA. Despite the name change, the mission remains the same. According to Andrew Davis, Executive Director, The shelter’s mission is to give every pet in the Hill Country the best life possible through successful rescue, adoption, awareness, and advocacy.
