FBG property tax to rise

An almost 11% increase in the tax rate for Fredericksburg residents. The Fredericksburg City Council recommended raising the city’s property tax rate to $0.227427 from $0.205326. Today, the council will hold a special budget meeting 2 p.m. The public hearing on the proposed tax rate is scheduled for next Tuesday, Sept. 9th at the City Hall East campus.
