Harper - injunction filed against Peregrine BESS Construction

Harper residents continue to fight back against Peregrine Energy’s construction of a battery energy storage system. A group of residents have filed a temporary and permanent injunction against Peregrine Energy also known as Rogers Draw BESS. The injunction was filed to permanently stop the battery facility from being built due to the potential for fire and chemical contamination harmful to the community. Of concern is the closeness of the BESS to Harper Schools and the site sits at the headwaters of the Pedernales River.  As of August 24, Peregrine had yet to file any of the required documents with Gillespie County for construction says the residents. The connection construction between Peregrine and the LCRA site continues, though.
