Hill Country schools were included in a series of swatting threats made across the nation recently. Yesterday morning, staff at Boerne High School received a voicemail that contained a bomb threat to that campus. Federal, state, and local resources were immediately deployed in response to the threat. Incoming buses and other traffic were diverted to Champion High School. After a thorough search of the building, law enforcement determined the campus was safe to resume classes. Boerne Police remained on campus for the remainder of the day. Later in the afternoon, Comfort High School was under lockdown with a similar bomb threat. The middle school and elementary were under a soft lockdown. Several other bomb threats were made across the state.
