Hunt - TX 39 footbridge removed

On Wednesday, TX 39 was partially closed as TXDot removed a pedestrian bridge between Ingram and Hunt. The bridge was deemed unsafe as the metal was rotting. The steps to climb the bridge had already been blocked off. The bridge had quite a history. Based on posts from the Hunt Texas Community page, Larry Graham bought the bridge from Lackland Air Force Base. And was allegedly set without permits. It was near River Oaks. And although the Property Owners Association repaired it, TXDot said it was structurally inadequate.
