Kendall Co - 2 reach settlement in bleacher collapse

2 people injured during the bleacher collapse at the Kendall County Fair in 2024, have reached a settlement according to the Express News. One person died of their injuries and 9 other people sustained injuries. Kendall County residents Lindsay Ward and Garret Daley filed suit against the Kendall County Fair Association, Shane Boerner, Fair Association president and several companies that allegedly worked on the bleacher. Ward and Daley asked for medical expenses and lost wages compensation plus punitive damages.  Details about the terms of the settlement agreement have not been released.
