Kendall Co reject ESD for May ballot

Kendall County Commissioners' rejected the motion to place the formation of the Bergheim Emergency Services District (ESD No. 1) on the May 2025 ballot yesterday. The vote was unanimous 5-0. In 2022, voters rejected the ESD proposal (54% NO, 46% YES). In 2024, a petition was given to the Commissioners Court by the Bergheim Volunteer Fire Department to get an ESD on the ballot for May of 2025.
