Kerr Co - checks from George Strait concert disbursed

Kerr County residents received funds from the George Strait Boerne concert fundraiser on Saturday. The concert raised 7 million dollars. According to the Kerrville Daily Times, Governor Greg Abbott was on hand to help give out checks of 25 thousand dollars to 50 families at Ingram Tom Moore High School. Also, on hand was George Strait’s partner, Tom Cusick, Nim Kidd of Texas Department of Emergency Management and State Representative Wes Virdell.  Abbott explained, that the list of check recipients were people who had already filed flood relief claims with FEMA. 30 more checks are available to families who were not able to make the event.
