Kerr Co - Judge Rob Kelly texts

Texts and emails to and from Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly explain why he was missing from the July 4^th flood briefings with state officials. According to CBS Texas, Kelly was with his wife who was concerned about looting after their property experienced flooding. He was originally in Austin for the holiday and returned at 10am to Kerrville. Kelly held a press conference at 11:30am and went home afterwards. He indicated to Commissioner Tom Jones at 9pm, he wasn’t able to return to town as he was looking after his wife. In a later press briefing, he was severely admonished by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.
