Kerr Co - Kerrville settle with Dark Sky Estates development

Settlement with developer Dark Sky Estates LLC and Kerr County has been reached.  Commissioners at their meeting this week approved an agreement with Dark Skies over a 55 acre development near the Kerrville – Kerr County Airport. The acreage is needed for a runway extension at the airport. After back and forth negotiations on an eminent domain purchase price, Kerr County with a vote of 3 to 1 reached an agreement they were not happy with. The settlement amount has not been disclosed. TXDot will reimburse the county 90 percent of a purchase price that was offered in a previous negotiation, not the settlement price.
