Kerr County - down payment assistance for flood victims

A new down payment assistance program for Kerr County residents affected by the July 4th floods announced by Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation, Connective, and the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. Funded by the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, the $4 million investment is part of the Foundation's larger $40 million commitment to help local residents regain stable housing. Up to $145,000 in down payment assistance per household, on top of TSAHC's standard down payment assistance options. There’s also an additional $30 thousand in assistance for first-time buyers, veterans and active-duty military personnel. Those eligible are Kerr County or Comfort residents, whose primary residence was made uninhabitable by the July 4 floods. Residents may be homeowners or renters. For information visit tsahc.org.
