Kerr County - feral cat colonies problem

Writer: Aurora CantuAurora Cantu

Feral Cat colonies are a big problem in Kerr Country. One un-spayed female cat can have an average of 12 kittens a year, according to Sarah Burkhart, president of the 20 year old non-profit The Big Fix. TNR is a possible solution. TNR is trap, neuter and release.  Addressing the Commissioners Court on Monday, Burkhart says the community needs to work together to solve the problem. Judge Rob Kelly agreed saying that the county is not able to make ordinances. To learn how you can help, find information about at bigfixcats.com.
