Two partial street closures in Kerrville today. From 9am to 2pm the city and their contractor are preparing for closures of a portion of Olympic Drive near the existing western driveway location for the Olympic Pool. The water main will be extended for the new Olympic Pool Facility. The closure will run from Singing Wind Drive to San Jacinto Drive. Today at 1 p.m. a portion of Water Street between Quinlan, Clay and State Hwy. 16 will also be closed as the City of Kerrville re-locates the “Thanks for the Rain” bronze statue by artist, Joe Beeler. The artwork currently sits at the Museum of Western Art and will find its permanent home in front of the AC Schreiner House. Schreiner House is currently under renovation to house the cultural heritage and history of Kerr County and the surrounding Hill Country.
