Kerrville - Elm Creek Pipeline Project

Last night’s presentation on the Elm Creek Pipeline Project at the Arcadia was well attended. The pipeline is actually one of 4 options that were researched in 2025. The pipeline was the least expensive based on acre feet. 452 dollars per year for Indirect Potable Reuse. The highest was over 4 thousand 700 dollars for a remote well field. Although, the city’s main goal is to innovate to create resilient supply, protect natural resources, keep costs down and safeguard its citizens, a survey showed that the number one priority for citizens was to protect natural resources. The city is seeking grants to cover the costs. More research is needed for the best possible option so shovels may not hit the ground til 2027. For information visit kerrvilletx.gov/elmcreekpipeline
