Kerrville - Governor Greg Abbott attends Symphony of the Hills concert

Governor Greg Abbott marked the 1 year anniversary of the deadly Kerr County flood of July 2025 in Kerrville. Abbott was the special guest at Saturday’s Symphony of the Hills concert.  He along with First Lady Cecilia Abbott attended the patriotic event Stars, Stripes, and Spirit Remembrance and Resilience along with Representative Wes Virdell and his wife and Mayor Joe Herring with his wife. Abbott delivered remarks at the ceremony and concert about the resilience of the Hill Country. He said that with the rise of the river, the deaths, the loss of homes -- Kerrville did not break.  The governor also read off the 119 names of those perished in the catastrophic floods of July 4^th 2025.
