Kerrville - Judge denies motion - LIA Network

Plaintiffs LIA Network, Terri Hall and Rachel Vickers. were denied a motion Thursday that they filed April 17th  against the City of Kerrville. Federal Judge - Justice Xavier Rodriguez of San Antonio, issued an order denying a motion for both a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction. The Judge found that the plaintiffs did not establish standing or the right to challenge the “the Peddlers and Solicitors Ordinance and The Electioneering Ordinance as a violation of the First Amendment. In order to establish standing, the Judge wrote in part that the plaintiffs needed to show an injury and that the injury resulted from the City’s conduct. The Judge found that the plaintiffs failed to do that.
