Kerrville’s Gibson’s Discount Center gets a spotlight from mysanantonio.com. The 54 year old store is only one of two left in the country. The other Gibson’s store is in Weatherford Texas. Gibson’s started as novelty store in Abilene in 1936. In the 60’s the first Discount Center was opened. At one time there was almost 700 stores across the US. Kerrville’s Gibsons’ Discount Center opened in 1968.
